The Wimborne Minster chapter of BNI
The Wimborne Minster BNI chapter was formed in February 2004. The chapter has attracted a wide range of different trades and professions. All the members of the Wimborne chapter seek to help each other by promoting the businesses of the other chapter members within the local community. Each member gains referrals for other members and their businesses. This website looks at the Wimborne chapter of BNI, its members and its opportunities. The site also explains what BNI is, and how it operates on the principle of "givers gain".
Referral Slips are completed and passed between members. Members each carry a Business Card File with all members' cards.
What is BNI?
BNI is the world's largest and most successful business networking organisation. It is based on the principle of "givers gain" - if I give you business, you will want to give me business. This means you join our Chapter asking yourself not "What's in it for me?" but rather "How can I help my fellow members develop their businesses?". The result is we help and support each other and we all gain business through it! Being active within a BNI chapter of say 40 people is like having 40 sales people working for you.
BNI members carry a card file containing the business cards of all the other members of their chapter. When they speak to friends, associates or business clients they are looking out for needs which could be met by members of the BNI chapter. When they recognise a need which could be fulfilled by a BNI member, they can then pass a referral to fill that need.
BNI is the most successful business referral organisation in the world. Currently there are over 3,000 chapters in operation, with more than 60,000 members. Members of BNI last year passed over 3,000,000 referrals, which translated into over £750 million in business between members.
